Salon Policies
To confirm your appointment you are required to pay a 50% deposit. If this deposit is not paid at least 48 hours before your appointment time we will assume you no longer want to attend and your appointment will be cancelled to allow for other booking. If your appointment value is over 500 dollars you will be required to pay the 50% deposit upfront.
Please understand that last-minute cancellations are extremely hard to fill and result in a considerable monetary loss for the salon. For this reason, no cancellations or changes to the appointment date and time are allowed within 48h of the appointment. If you do not attend your appointment, your deposit will not be refunded. If you call to reschedule your appointment within the 48h timeframe, your deposit is not transferable and you will be asked to pay a new deposit for the rescheduled appointment. If you have not paid a deposit, a cancellation fee of 50% of your service cost will be charged. This fee must be paid prior to booking a future service.
We understand that from time to time things come up and you won't be able to make your appointment. However, as a small business we are unable to cover the cost of unattended appointments or last minute cancellations.
New clients must book a colour consultation prior to a colour service. A consultation and colour service cannot be performed on the same day. After your consultation is complete your stylist will book your colour service according to what was discussed and agreed upon by both your and your stylist. Consultations cost $50 which is redeemable towards your colour service. If after the consultation, you decide not to proceed with a colour service the $50 may be redeemed on products but not service as the time for the service must be covered.
If you do not attend your appointment without contacting the salon prior to your appointment time it will be considered a no show. A no show is required to pay 100% of the appointment cost. You will not be able to book a future appointment with us until the no show fee has been paid.
Please understand that as a small business this monetary loss has a big impact on us.
If you are running late for your appointment, please give us a call. Should you arrive more than 15 minutes late for your appointment, Alchemy Salon reserves the right to either shorten the allotted time for your appointment or not provide the services at all and consider you a no-show. Your deposit will not be refunded.
There may come a time where your stylist may politely suggest an alternative colour, cut or styling choice if we believe the desired look is unachievable or if we think it will damage or compromise the condition of your hair. We base this off your things such as colour history and current hair condition, hair types and textures. There are also a number of factors that may influence the results of your service that are out of our control- such as environmental and lifestyle aspects. The best way to have optimum results is to be completely honest with your stylist about your hair colour history, product choices and lifestyle factors, so they can tailor the service to your hair. Trust that we are giving advice with your best interest at heart.
It is essential when having your hair professionally coloured that you use professional hair care. Your choice of home hair care can have a major impact on your colour results, so to minimise this being a potential issue we can only guarantee your colour if you are using products recommended and approved by Alchemy. These products will be recommend to you during your service. If you choose to use products that have not been approved by Alchemy we will not be liable.
Hairdressers are only human and every now and then some things just don’t go according to plan, and there may be miscommunications between stylists and clients. Albeit rare, we understand that you may wish to have your style/cut /colour slightly changed. Please contact your stylist within 7 days to make an arrangement. - please note, if you wait more than 7 days to let your stylist know, this will not be a complimentary service.
A Green Fee of $3 will be charged for each visit. As a member of Sustainable Salons, the green fee will go towards the responsible recycling and disposal of salon waste.
All card payments will receive at 1.54% transaction fee. This is to help us cover the fee of using the card terminal. To avoid this you are welcome to pay with cash!
