
The Alchemy Journey
Becc Snow is the founder and director of Alchemy Salon. On 9 June 2015, Becc opened Alchemy Salon in her hometown, Traralgon, Victoria. In 2020, she embarked on the journey of opening a second salon, located on Smith Street in Collingwood. Due to Covid-19, the official opening of Alchemy on Smith was delayed until October 2022. At the end of 2022, Becc closed the Traralgon salon to focus on growing Alchemy offline and online from one location.

Alchemy is gender neutral & LGBTQIA+ friendly. Our salon aims to be a safe space for diversity, inclusion and expression. It's our goal to learn from the community around us on how we can do better as a business to improve representation and cater to all needs.
Plant-based & cruelty-fee
Most of our retail products, beverages, snacks, hair colour and even some of our team are plant based. Reducing our environmental impact as well as being cruelty free are hugely are important to us as a business.

Alchemy Salon is proud to be apart of Sustainable Salons. This social enterprise helps our salon to reduce our impact on the planet and to invest in local communities.


Becc Snow
Becc Snow has spent the past 15 years honing her craft, spreading her time and skillset across a wide spectrum of the art we call hair. Starting her business in her home town she quickly progressed to the vibrant streets of Melbourne City, landing on the hottest strip in Melbourne, Smith Street and thus Alchemy on Smith was born.
As well as her integral role as Director of Alchemy Salon, Becc was also one of four individuals selected for the 2020 FAME TEAM scholarship, boasting a heavy roster of mentor sessions, stage shows, editorial shoots and more. After her year-long journey with the Fame Team, Becc went on to win Newcomer Of The Year at the 2022 AHFA Awards with her collection Colourful Chaos. In 2024 Becc finalised for the Victorian Hairdress of the Year at the AHFA with her collection Alchemical.
Becc’s passion doesn’t stop there, in an ever-changing industry her love and enthusiasm for creative direction has only grown stronger. Branching out into the online World, Becc became 1 of 20 chosen Globally to represent the O&M brand through content creation and national education courses both online and in person. In 2024 Becc said goodbye to O&M and hello to Kevin Murphy! Becc is now a Kevin Murphy Creative Artist. Of course she is still representing, educating and creating brand content for DunGüd Hair.
Through her Brand collaborations, Becc has also had the opportunity to work on multiple shows at Australian Fashion Week working with brands Oroton, AJE, Mariam Seddiq, Alix Higgins, Blanca Studio & Asiyam. As well as becoming the Lead Hair Director for the Gary Bigeni Resort 23' show and Wackie Ju 24’. Becc has just recently returned from working at the Copenhagen A/W 25.
Becc is now ready to share her specialised and highly adaptable approach to hair through a set of engaging, immersive and fully inclusive, customised salon courses!
